Well known for their off-the-wall performances and their “raw-refined” sound, Les Deuxluxes present La fille du Père Noël, a cover of the holiday anthem by France’s rock’n’roll enfant terrible Jacques Dutronc.
The song is available for purchase as pay-what-you-can on their bandcamp page, lesdeuxluxes.com. All proceeds will go to L’Itinéraire, a monthly Montreal publication/organization that fights homelessness and helps with the social re-integration of marginalized people.
Recorded and mixed by Francis Duchesne, the song’s blues riffs perfectly suit the feisty personalities of Étienne Barry and Anna Frances Meyer. Lend an ear to this classic French hit revisited with a Deuxluxes twist!
Les Deuxluxes will be playing a free show on December 19th as part of the festival Noël dans le Parc. The duo is presently working on their upcoming LP, set to be released in 2016.
